LENOIR CITY (WATE) — The Lenoir City Police Department is holding an auction in hopes of generating much-needed funds. There are vans, sedans, pickup trucks, old police cruisers, and a FEMA trailer that would have otherwise sat idle. The Lenoir City Utility Board got word of the event, and they will be auctioning off several of their vehicles including three bucket trucks. The police department did not see an increase in funding this year, and they only received some money through a state grant.
