So after West Point officials realized they needed a replacement for their aging city auditorium, Paus began creating a design. Wortman, an attorney, helped form the 501c3 foundation that could solicit funds for the building and the West Point Auditorium Foundation was established. Building Manager Chris Kreikemeier said Smeal Manufacturing conducted a nationwide sales training event at the center and had three firetrucks in the building. The Nielsen Community Center in West Point serves a variety of uses including banquets, conferences and housing the West Point Chamber of Commerce offices. read more

Car Auction News - Rarest of the rare visits Evergreen (Yamhill Valley News-Register)

Yamhill “Valley” is just as correct as Yamhill “County” in the context of the Evergreen museum. I do not find “Yamhill Valley” to be “snobby” or “arrogant”; yes the name does tend to be used by wineries more than anyone else (and I hate the way Yamhill County has become in that sense) but calling the area the “Yamhill Valley” is perfectly legitimate and correct. I agree with Eric; this is Yamhill County, not Yamhill valley. By the way, what arrogant A__ hole keeps calling Yamhill County, Yamhill valley. read more
