Car Auction News – 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 and Two Mustang Concepts Set for Auction (Edmunds.com)

Barrett-Jackson’s April auction in Palm Beach, Florida, will offer up the first retail 2010 Ford Shelby GT500, with proceeds going to the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation. PALM BEACH, Florida — Shortly before the Ford Mustang celebrates its 45th anniversary in mid-April, the first retail 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 and a pair of Mustang GT concepts from 2003 will cross the auction block during the Seventh Annual Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Collector Car Auction, held April 9-11 here. Proceeds from the sale of the Shelby GT500 will be donated to the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation, while the two Mustang concepts will be auctioned to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Ford said. The first 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 is said to feature a color scheme and equipment chosen by Carroll Shelby. read more
