Tuesday, March 31st, 2009One of the vehicles on display during the auction Mannai Trading Company has made a donation of a Cadillac STS-V worth QR260,000 to the Childrenâs Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL). The automobile was auctioned off alongside other high valuable items, with the proceeds going to the centre to aid in the treatment of children with cancer. The CCCL was established in Beirut in April 2002 and has since treated more than 600 young cancer patients from Lebanon as well as other Arab countries including the GCC nations. It is a one of its kind centre in the region, offering free preliminary diagnosis and testing to hundreds of children every year as well as comprehensive treatment of paediatric cancers. Children who are not covered by insurance or private donors are treated at the expense of the centre, making it all the more important for CCCL to raise funds. read more
