Auburn was a busy place Saturday as thousands of people descended upon the annual Labor Day weekend Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival and Kruse International Auburn Fall Classic Collector Car Auction. Many lined Auburn streets to see vintage cars in the Parade of Classics. Others saw a variety of muscle cars that commanded tens of thousands of dollars in bids during the Collector Car Auction. A line of Auburns passes by spectators in downtown Auburn on Saturday. This 1933 Auburn Salon brougham took a hit to its rear window. Special guest The Vanguard Squadron flying team, sponsored by Central Indiana Ethanol, a 100 percent ethanol-powered formation aerobatic team flying Vans RV-3A aircraft, will perform at noon; Michigan-based Phoenix Precision Air LLC also will offer helicopter rides in Bell 206BII Jet Ranger. Tickets at door $7 for adults, $3 for children 8 and younger. Activities include traders selling Native American crafts and foods, and 300 to 400 costumed dancers.
