Police say they arrested 34-year-old Karl George Sanft Thursday after determining a car he was driving had been stolen from the Bay Cities Auto Auction lot. The arrest of Sanft comes after 63-year-old Angelito Erasquin and 56-year-old Jim Wightman were found stabbed to death at the lot early Tuesday. Erasquin was a security guard at the lot, while Wightman was a trucker who delivered cars. Hayward investigators say after being brought in for questioning, Sanft confessed to the killings.
