(Car Auction News) 2 found slain at Hayward car-auction lot (San Francisco Chronicle)

Hayward police were called to the scene by someone who thought a pedestrian had been hit by a car outside the lot, Lt. In the Manheim parking lot, officers spotted the truck driver, dead in the cab of his rig. An auto transporter who didn’t want his name used said he had slept in his truck in the Manheim parking lot and awoke at 6 a. John Norton, a Manheim security guard, said the employee was a security guard who had worked the graveyard shift and planned to retire soon. A truck driver making an early morning run to a Hayward car lot and a security guard on the verge of retirement were found slain at the business Tuesday. read more
