Topic: Car Auction News - Two men slain at Hayward car auction lot (San Jose Mercury News)

HAYWARD — A call to report a possible hit-and-run accident turned into a double homicide investigation at a large auto auction business in an industrial neighborhood near Interstate 880 this morning. The first victim was found on Addison Way outside the Bay Cities Auto Auction facility near Industrial Parkway. A search of the area found a second man dead in the auction yard parking lot, an unspecified distance away from the first. Employees locked themselves in buildings at the yard as a host of law enforcement agencies scoured the enormous parking lot for possible suspects. The area where the bodies were found is largely industrial, and Orrey said it’s rare for crimes to occur there, other than auto theft. read more
