FRANCE TAKES eBAY TO COURT (CalTrade Report)- Car Auction News

SAN JOSE 12/21/07 Online auctioneer eBay is being taken to court by the French government, which is charging that the company doesn’t do enough to protect consumers; the company should be held to the same standards as other auction houses in France, according to the state Council of Sales. SAN FRANCISCO 12/04/07 Cargo terminal operator MTC Holdings has completed the acquisition of Puerta México, an inland, intermodal terminal facility and services company located on a 130 acre site about 40 miles west of Mexico City in Toluca’s industrial zone; the facility will handle cargo moving to and from the industrial zone, the ports of Lázaro Cárdenas and Manzanillo, and the US border crossing at Laredo, Texas. SAN FRANCISCO 11/08/07 Irish airline Aer Lingus has inaugurated a new four-day per week service between the high-technology centers of the San Francisco Bay Area and Dublin, Ireland; the new service comes as a result of the new Open Skies agreement inked earlier this year between the US and the European Union and is expected to expand to a daily service next March.
